THE CHURCH OF GOD SANCTIFIED

Ministries

The ministries of The Church of God Sanctified are life-changing and are a joy to be a part of.
Below is a list of our current ministries in operation.

Sunday School Ministry

Teacher-versus-Pupils classes are held every Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. to inspire, educate, and motivate teacher and students in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Classes are available for all ages. Lessons are taken from the “New Life Curriculum” published by Pathway Press, Cleveland, Tennessee.

Bible Study Ministry

2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Believing that it is God’s Word that transforms our lives, an opportunity is available every Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. to all attendees to take part in the study of God’s Word in a relaxed setting. Questions can be asked for understanding of the Scriptures and knowledge of how to apply it to your daily life. Topics are discussed to enable members to grow spiritually.
Call ahead each week to find out the topic and Scripture to be studied. (423) 442-1589 or (423) 442-5901

Prayer Ministry

Prayer is a vital and integral component to the ministry at The Church of God Sanctified. It provides the opportunity for individuals to join others in prayer for our church, community, and the world. We strongly believe the Scripture where Jesus spoke to His disciples and said, “And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.” (Matthew 21:22) Hence, we deem it necessary to hold Prayer Vigils periodically. Check our calendar to find out when one is being held.

Missionary Ministry

Ministers to the spiritual, physical, and economic needs of our church and the surrounding communities.  Visits are made to the “sick-and-shut-in” in their private individual homes, as well as those in nursing homes, and to those who are no longer able to come to a church worship service. We offer prayer, reading of the Scriptures, the singing of praise songs, and, most times, the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This is done to encourage and uplift their spirits and to, also, let them know that they are not forgotten by the organized Church. For more information, please call (423) 519-9697 or (423) 442-9696. If you would like a home visit, or know of someone who is in need of a visit, please call Sis. Jones at one of the above numbers.

Youth Ministry

The mission of our Holiness Young People’s Union (H.Y.P.U.) is to love, serve, and foster the spiritual development of our youth in order that they may grow as disciples of Jesus Christ.  The Youth are given the opportunity to take charge of worship services and programs designed for them.
For more information, please call (423) 442-1589 or (423) 442-5901.

Youth Ministry: Sis. Willie S. Benton, President

Music Ministry

Opportunities are available in the choir for the utilization of gifts and talents.  The Choir provides musical leadership for the 11:30 a.m. Sunday morning worship service and the 6:00 p.m. Sunday evening worship service, as well as several other events throughout the year.   Rehearsals are held weekly at 6:00 p.m.  We sing a variety of music to include contemporary praise songs, gospel, and traditional hymns. We are always looking for new members.  If you have a heart to honor God with your voice, are able to match pitch, enjoy singing beautiful music with energy and enthusiasm, and are compelled to “present your body a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service” (Romans 12:1), you are welcome to join us.
For more information, please call (423) 442-1589 or (423) 442-5901.

Trustee Ministry

The Trustee Ministry finds joy and pleasure in keeping up the buildings and grounds of the church and in the handling of all financial aspects of the church operations. We stand ready and willing to make our edifice most appealing and comfortable for our visitors and our members.  With delight, we accept our responsibility to carry out the work of the Lord.
